I know many of you have plenty of Independence Day leftovers and some of you want to do something a little creative with them. One of the coolest recipes I’ve seen is a recipe for a watermelon cake. White cake + watermelon chunks – watermelon seeds = delicious watermelon cake. Choose your favorite boxed white cake, or make a white cake from scratch, and toss in some seedless watermelon chunks. Try using just egg whites. Don’t know how to separate egg yolks from whites? Watch this. You can watch the whole video, but generally I skip the technical stuff in the beginning and just pass the egg back and forth from one half of the shell to the other half shell.
